The other day I was shopping in a local music store and to be honest some album covers totally shocked me. I know the fact that the cover is not as important as the quality of the songs on the album, but the labels should spend more time to make quality and creative covers. As far as I know, the covers are designed by professional designers and photographers but the result is sometimes a disaster. I don’t get it how can the labels release awful pictures from their own artists. In my opinion the labels are kinda wanton when it comes to releasing a new album. Moreover success on sales depends on the quality of the cover. The extreme, tasteless and disadvantageous covers affect negatively the reception of the songs on the certain album. Furthermore some artists are barely recognizable on their actual album, and I find it kinda annoying.
