The latest album of Wet Wet Wet - Timeless- was released in november 2007. This Scottish band is very close to me for a long time. In my opinion this band is one of the greatest bands of the 80’s and 90’s . Their music is pure, sensual and passionate and they always have had a very high standard from the beginning. More than 10 albums full of beautiful songs, that I never get tired of.

The band’s leadsinger, Marti Pellow has got an amazing voice and a great live performance.

Definitely he is a huge talent and he is always very enthusiasm, dynamic and maximalist on the stage. His performance is always very credible.

The first time I saw him was in the video clip of „Angel Eyes” on MTV. He was so joyfull, charming, charismatic and singing extremely well, fully with heart and soul. And his smile…

From that time on I tried to obtain all their albums as quickly as I could.
I’m still very glad that I was there in Marti’s concert in Glasgow in 2004, and I also saw The Wets live in London in the Wembley Arena. It was a wonderful year!

I remember…that was an amazing night. Marti had huge succes in Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow.
Marti is the one and only singer I have ever seen, who is much better live, it’s brilliant.

The other day I read a harsh critic about their new album. I think this work was definitely a big challange for them and although this album is not my favorite at all, but they have nothing to prove. Maybe this time the band was less inspired than before, however I think, they did what they thought was the best. My new favorite – Weightless – is a brilliant song with absolutely perfect sound. This tune always amazed me, it’s so passionate, cool and mystical at the same time. It again proves for me their talent and versatile. They are impeccable musicians, their gigs are always great and shiny. I’m glad that they had a reunion in 2004 and they still work together, they haven’t given up music through their many hardship.

… and some more words about the Wet Wet Wet story. I think all of the fans of the Wets have known Marti’s whole troubles and fighting against addiction. Fortunately he had the strenght to stand up and find the way back into the life. He came back after the hell of his addiction and made his debut solo album „Smile” (It’s a really fantastic album, I like it very, very much) and then the members of the band could forget their hurts and gave themselves a chance to work together again. I think it wouldn’t have been an easy road, but they have done it.
