Music, Review
The other day I was shopping in a local music store and to be honest some album covers totally shocked me. I know the fact that the cover is not as important as the quality of the songs on the album, but the labels should spend more time to make quality and creative covers. As far as I know, the covers are designed by professional designers and photographers but the result is sometimes a disaster. I don’t get it how can the labels release awful pictures from their own artists. In my opinion the labels are kinda wanton when it comes to releasing a new album. Moreover success on sales depends on the quality of the cover. The extreme, tasteless and disadvantageous covers affect negatively the reception of the songs on the certain album. Furthermore some artists are barely recognizable on their actual album, and I find it kinda annoying. Read the rest of this entry »

Nature
Although winter is not my favourite season but the snowfall from yesterday inspired me to take some shots of the winter scene. To be honest, I prefer to watch snowfall from my warm room. But sometimes I like to take a walk in the nature. However I think skiing still won’t be my favourite pasttime in the future. Here you can see the pictures that I took. Read the rest of this entry »

Music, Talented Artists
On the album of Groove Coverage called Covergirl there was a beatiful song called “Lullaby For Love”. This is one of the most wonderful songs what I’ve ever heard. A bit later I became aware of that the vocalist and songwriter is called Verena Rehm. It’s interesting that I especially like to listen to this song in winter because of the soft sound effects like the wind-effect that gives me winter mood. Unfortunately nowadays it’s not she who sings in the Groove Coverage songs, although she’s still a part of Groove Coverage and she co-produces most of the songs. She is a very versatile artist (singer, songwriter, pianist etc…). “Lullaby For Love” is a classic candlelight song for me, there’s no winter when I don’t listen to it. The lyrics of it is very close to me. Read the rest of this entry »

Music, Review
Personally I think, 2007 wasn’t the best year for music (except electronic music - but this is another story). Many talented and famous artists’ new album made me dissapointed. I’ve been waiting for their albums but after all I gotta say that I could live without them. It looks like they ran out of inspiration and creativity.
Craig David: Trust Me
He’s one of favourite male singers. In my opinion his style is really unique moreover his voice is very special. However his newest album lacks these things. All of the songs are average, and he totally lost his unique style that I really liked from him in the last years. Maybe he wanted to try a new style but in my opinion this album is kinda weak. Where are those songs like “Don’t Love You No More”, “World Filled With Love” or “Just Don’t Miss Your Water”…? Read the rest of this entry »
